History
The Margaret Fletcher Dance Studio has been New Bern's leader in dance since 1971. It was the first to do the Nutcracker Ballet performing it in Bridgeton, J.T. Barber, Grover C. Fields, Cherry Point Station Theater and New Bern Civic Theatre.
It has put on "Dance is For Everyone" demonstrations in virtually every school in Craven, Pamlico, and Jones County. It has won certified dance contests in Charlotte and Raleigh.
Ms. Fletcher's experiance ranges from choreographing The Great Litany from the 1928 Episcopal Book of Common Prayer to dancing with the New York Radio City Rockettes. She is certified in ballet, tap and ballroom by Dance Masters of America.
